Intravenous Sedation

Experience Dental Care with Confidence

We understand that for many, the thought of a dental visit can be stressful, particularly when complex or lengthy procedures are necessary. Certain factors—such as a strong gagging reflex or feelings of claustrophobia—can also make routine care feel overwhelming. We recognize that these feelings are often rooted in past challenging experiences.

At Beale and Cullen Dental, we are profoundly committed to transforming that experience.

Getting Prepared for your Appointment

Eliminating the Anxiety with Conscious Sedation

This is where conscious sedation becomes an incredibly valuable and professional solution. The core purpose of sedation is to largely eliminate the undesirable sensations of dental procedures by reducing or eliminating anxiety, apprehension, memory, and the stresses sometimes associated with treatment.

Sedation effectively suppresses the gagging sensation and makes time appear to pass very quickly. Because this experience offers a peaceful detachment, most patients report feeling completely relaxed, often like they’ve simply taken a restorative nap. Our primary goal is to ensure your treatment is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Our Premier Offering: Advanced IV Sedation

For patients requiring the highest level of assurance, comfort, and control, Beale and Cullen Dental offers advanced intravenous (IV) sedation, managed by our highly trained clinical team. This IV protocol represents a highly predictable and advanced standard in modern dental care for several key reasons:

  • Tailored Comfort: We use sophisticated sedative and analgesic agents, carefully selected and administered to achieve a profound state of deep relaxation and amnesia. This ensures a smooth, deeply comfortable experience tailored specifically to your needs.
  • Rapid, Precise Control: The IV delivery method ensures a rapid onset, giving our team exceedingly precise control over the therapeutic effect. We can continuously monitor and adjust the sedation level specifically for you, ensuring your safety and optimal comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Superior Patient Experience: The recovery after stopping the medication is typically crisp and pleasant, and crucially, most patients have little to no recollection of the actual treatment process, leaving only the memory of a truly relaxed experience.

With our advanced sedation protocol, we empower you to receive the comprehensive, high-quality dental care you need without the accompanying stress. We will discuss all appropriate sedation methods with you during your consultation to determine the best approach for your unique needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can I expect to see results after treatment?

Results from treatment typically start becoming noticeable within 3 to 7 days post-treatment, with full effects usually visible within twoweeks. This can vary with individual toxins

The effects of toxin typically last around 3 to 4 months. However, individual results may vary based on metabolism and muscle activity. Some specific areas can last a shorter or longer time.

Dental crowns protect damaged teeth by completely encasing the tooth structure, providing more support for chewing than a filling or onlay can. Stability is particularly crucial for molars, which absorb much of the force from chewing.

Skilled administration by a qualified provider ensures natural-looking results, allowing for facial expression while reducing wrinkles and lines.

Typically, treatments are repeated every 3 to 4 months to maintain results. We will create a personalized treatment plan based on your needs.

Toxin is used to address dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated muscle movements. The appropriate time to begin varies; a consultation will help determine if it aligns with your aesthetic goals.

What are dermal fillers and how do they work?

Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. As we age, we can develop laxity in the skin, deepening of wrinkles and a loss of facial volume, leading to a sunken or hollow look. Filler can be used to replace some of the lost volume to create a more youthful look.

Dermal fillers can be used to treat various facial areas, including lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and jawlines. A full facial assessment will identify where best to place filler to improve your areas of concern.

The initial injections can be painful, but the product contains local anaesthetic, so the tissues begin to numb quickly once treatment starts. We can offer dental nerve blocks to fully numb some areas if required. A topical numbing cream can be applied before the procedure to enhance comfort.

The duration of dermal fillers varies based on the type of filler used and the treated area, but they typically last between 6 months to 2 years before gradually being absorbed by the body. Generally the type of filler we use will last up to 12 months.

Skin boosters aim to improve skin quality by hydrating and rejuvenating the skin’s texture using microinjections, while dermal fillers focus on adding volume and reshaping facial contours by injecting substances to specific areas.

What is the difference between the products on offer?

Profhilo, Sunekos and Rejuran all enhance skin quality, yet each offers a different type of rejuvenation. Profhilo provides deep hydration and a radiant lift, Sunekos targets fine lines and collagen support, and Rejuran focuses on tissue repair, redness/darkness reduction and overall skin resilience.”

You may notice initial improvements in skin texture and hydration shortly after treatment. However, the full effects often become apparent after a few weeks. Results can last for several months, but maintenance sessions may be needed to prolong the benefits.

Most patients experience minimal discomfort during these injectables. A topical numbing cream can be applied before the procedure to enhance comfort.

They are are commonly used on the face, neck, hands, and décolletage to address issues like fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and dehydration.

All of these products will require multiple sessions and this varies depending on the product. We will advise the best regimen to follow to get the ideal outcome.
